New Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani couldn’t believe his eyes when magician Shlomo Levinger made a visit to the Dodgers’ clubhouse for a recent performance. Levinger blew the slugger’s mind with a confounding card trick that left much of the team in awe.

The mentalist posted a video of that appearance to his YouTube page on Tuesday, and it’s definitely worth the watch.

Los Angeles is gearing up for Opening Day, running through the final weeks of Spring Training. While the Dodgers won the NL West for the 10th time in the last 11 years last season, they came up short in the postseason following a series sweep at the hands of the rival Diamondbacks.

Hoping to get over the hump in the 2024 campaign, they backed up the Brinks truck for free agent Shohei Ohtani.

The former Angel made the short trip across town after signing a $700M deal, boosting the Dodgers’ World Series chances even further.

In an attempt to help better acclimate his new star to teammates, manager Dave Roberts had the team gather for a little preseason fun. Bringing in noted mentalist Shlomo Levinger as entertainment, Roberts had his guys in a state of shock by the end of the session.

One particular viral clip showed Levinger awing Ohtani with an impossible card trick.

Levinger somehow correctly wrote Ohtani’s card on the back of a set of Aces.

Mind. Blown.

If he wasn’t a believer before, he certainly is now!

It’s not the first time Levinger’s worked with MLB players. Shuffling through his YouTube videos, you’ll find Mike Trout, Alex Bregman, and Kris Bryant amongst his past performances.

The Shohei Ohtani bit was just one trick in Levinger’s arsenal. Check out the full 30-minute episode below.
