It appears that Dustin Poirier vs Benoit Saint-Denis could be off the UFC 299 card in Miami.
On Thursday, Poirier tweeted that his fight vs BSD was off but that he was still working out in the gym.

Poirier then spoke with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto and said there were never any contract agreements in place with UFC despite the fact that the fight was announced months ago.

“Dustin Poirier expands on his recent “fights off” tweet (against Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 299) to me via text … “There was no contractual agreement before the fight was announced and we couldn’t come to terms.”
Update: Dustin Poirier says the fight is back on and the whole thing was just a misunderstanding.
“Sorry folks, I jumped the gun, I couldn’t get a hold of my manager for a few days. I just spoke with him and Hunter. Misunderstanding on my part. Fight is on! See you March 9th Miami!!”
