San Antonio Spurs slasher Manu Ginobili was playing his unique brand of pesky defense against the Detroit Pistons last night when his left shoe went up in flames like the Death Star.
It broke apart and breathed its last smelly breath right there on the court as tens of thousands looked on in horror.
Ginobili, the unsentimental guy he is, barely even paused before finding another shoe to fill the old shoe’s shoes.
The now-departed footwear must have believed it better to burn out than fade away.
