Kyle Hamilton and Marlon Humphrey are about to become very well acquainted. They will both be integral parts of the Ravens’ secondary and their relationship will be crucial in the success of Baltimore’s defense.

Humphrey, a 25-year-old cornerback, was the team’s first round pick out of Alabama in 2017. Hamilton, a 21-year-old safety, was the team’s first round pick out of Notre Dame last month.

Over the weekend, the former reached out to the latter on Instagram and welcomed him into the NFL. He also had a request, and a very expensive one at that.

Being a former first rounder himself, Humphrey knew what Hamilton was about to get paid upon officially signing his contract with the Ravens. In turn, he asked the rookie to buy him a brand-new 2022 McLaren sports car that is on sale at a nearby dealership.

Hamilton obliged, kind of. Well, not really. He scribbled Humphrey’s jersey number on the hood and pasted a photo of his face on the driver’s side window.

Humphrey wasn’t impressed, but he appreciated his new teammate’s sense of humor.

Clearly, Hamilton and Humphrey are going to have no issues getting along in Charm City. If not the car, maybe the rookie will treat the vet to a nice steak dinner?
