It’s basically a forgone conclusion that Aaron Rodgers will play for the New York Jets next season. So, hopefully, a trade comes to fruition soon.

In the meantime, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur opens up about what Rodgers has meant to the organization over the years.

According to Mike Garafolo, LaFleur had nothing but kind words for the former MVP quarterback.

He did mention the disappointment in not winning a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers. But other than that, he illustrates how Rodgers left his mark on the franchise.

The Packers are rather privileged, as they’ve had two Hall of Fame quarterbacks under center over the last 30 years. With Aaron Rodgers leaving, a new era will finally begin in Green Bay.

Being able to coach a guy like Rodgers for several years likely gave LaFleur all kinds of experience. He’ll now be able to fully focus on Jordan Love moving forward.

As for Aaron Rodgers, he’ll be taking on a new chapter in his career, as he should be joining the Jets relatively soon.

With that said it’ll be interesting to see which direction the Packers go without Rodgers calling the shots.

In the end, despite whatever your opinion is of Rodgers, he’ll go down in history as a legend in Green Bay.
