By every conceivable metric pro surfer Matt Wilkinson is having the best year of his life. In the past 4 competitions he’s surfed in Matt Wilkinson has finished 1st, 9th, 1st, and 1st. His most recent win was in last week’s Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach in Victoria, Australia. Given his string of recent victories Matt Wilkinson took some time to celebrate his win at Bells Beach by ordering the most insane amount of alcohol I’ve ever seen on one tab.
This is more booze than I’ve ever seen an NFL team rack up, and while we can’t see the total of the check it’s certainly the most alcohol (in terms of volume) that I’ve ever seen on a receipt. Let me just preface this by saying that at one point he ordered 142 shots of Smirnoff, and that’s like 1/100th of the total amount ordered:
It’s nice to know that I’m out here struggling to get money together to buy a fishing kayak and this bro’s on the other side of the world, completely destroying the professional surfing tour, and drinking enough alcohol to kill the entire Russian Red Army….
I guess what I’m saying is that if anyone out there wants to pay me huge sums of money for a fishing show on TV where I travel the world I’d take those huge sums of money and then recirculate it back to you bros in the form of massive amounts of alcohol, because I’m all about sharing the wealth.
