The Memphis Grizzlies are going out of their way to make sure Ja Morant doesn’t have another strip club incident while on the road.

Two weeks ago, Morant found himself in hot water after posting an Instagram live video of himself holding a gun while inside a Denver strip club.

The NBA eventually suspended Morant for eight games, and the Grizzlies star was apologetic during an interview with ESPN on Wednesday.

“Honestly, I feel like we put ourselves in that situation with our past mistakes, and now it’s only right that we focus in and lock in on being smarter and more responsible, holding each other accountable for everything,”

“I feel like in the past we didn’t know what was at stake. And now finally me having that time to realize everything, have that time alone, I realize that now.

“I realize what I have to lose, and for us as a group, what we have to lose. It’s pretty much just that being more responsible, more smarter and staying away from all the bad decisions.”

According to a report from The Athletic, the Memphis Grizzlies have implemented several team rules to prevent issues while on the road. Apparently, the Grizzlies will not stay in road cities overnight and will leave immediately after their games, especially in party cities like Miami.

There have even been travel measures taken to curtail nightlife habits this season, with the Grizzlies leaving more road cities (especially the glitzier ones, like Miami) immediately after the game instead of staying overnight. Additional accountability measures may follow.
