Louisville Scores Easiest Touchdown Of All-Time After Two Miami Players Collide Into Each Other

Louisville scored the easiest touchdown of all-time against Miami on Saturday afternoon. It ultimately cost Mario Cristobal’s college football team the game, and any shot at a conference title.

Kevin Coleman caught a screen at the 42-yard-line and went (almost) untouched to the house.

One defender got a hand on the wide receiver, but it was too little too late. Coleman was gone.

The Hurricanes allowed the touchdown in the most embarrassing way possible.

Two of their own players ran into each other, which sent them both to the ground. They were the only two Miami defenders with any chance of getting downfield to make the tackle.

Quarterback Jack Plummer took the snap and immediately looked to his right. Two Hurricanes were in the vicinity — a cornerback and a roaming safety.

Louisville’s X receiver ran back across the middle, which sent the two Miami defenders on a direct path right toward one another.

They ultimately collided.

Coleman made the catch as both players laid on the turf. There was no one else in sight.

Coleman had nothing but green grass in front of him and beat one man down the sideline for six.

If that wasn’t brutal enough, Miami lost by seven. The Cardinals guaranteed their spot in the ACC Championship by a score of 38-31.

Had the two Hurricanes not run into each other, Coleman would not have scored. A defensive stop could have completely changed the entire outcome of the game. Instead, the easiest touchdown of all-time was the difference in the final score.

Miami will never forget when their two defenders ran into each other and caused an embarrassing game-losing defensive collapse. Louisville won the game because two defensive backs collided.

Credit to the play call for creating the chaos, but it really doesn’t get much worse than that.
