Miami Paid FAMU $720k To Play Game Before Beating Them Down 77-7 In Florida Showdown

FAMU got paid good money to be the University of Miami’s punching bag.

On Thursday night, Miami beat down FAMU 77-7 in a blowout that needed to be cut short.

Despite the beatdown, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal felt his team got a lot of much-needed reps for many of their players.

“We improved on some things with our physicality and execution. We played a bunch of guys in the twos and threes. They sustained a decent level of execution and the standard. We had an opportunity to play a lot of guys and see how they fit in and what their roles can be moving forward. Nowadays in college football, that is invaluable. You have to play guys and you can’t really look at the clock or the scoreboard. You have to keep developing your roster.”

Before the game, Miami paid FAMU $720k to travel to South Florida and get beat down.
