Maggie Recco currently lives in Miami after brief stints at Ole Miss and the University of Arizona. Her recent experience on a yacht with a group of NFL players did not go as she and her friends had expected.

It was “weird vibes” from the jump.

Although Recco did not name the NFL athletes in her “morning debrief” video on TikTok, she claims they were not very nice or welcoming. Perhaps there is more to the story.

Who is Maggie Recco?

To be completely honest, there is not a lot of information about Recco. I guess you could refer to her as an aspiring social media influencer. She spent one full academic year at the University of Arizona before she transferred to Ole Miss. She went extremely viral back in March with her two-part series on why she is leaving Mississippi to attend her third different school in three years.

All of this goes to say that Maggie Recco ultimately landed in Miami. There are some articles on the internet that say she is a student at the University of Miami but I have not seen anything that confirms her enrollment.

Either way, the 20-something-year-old currently lives in the 305. She has ~9,000 followers on Instagram and ~92,000 followers on TikTok.

Her most-viewed video stems from her apparent relationship with UCLA football player and former Utah Tech cornerback Scooter Jackson in 2023. He started dating Alabama Barker (the daughter of Travis Barker) not too long thereafter.

You get the idea. Recco is a current (or former?) college student who often goes viral on TikTok. Her stories are very entertaining.

NFL players gave her “weird vibes” on a yacht in Miami.

Recco recently shared her story from a night out in her home city. She and a group of her friends were invited out on a 130-foot yacht with an unidentified group of “NFL guys.” They were expecting “some fine shyt” or maybe some “cute guys.” No.

Other girls started to arrive to the dock but it was all “BBL bandits.” Recco said the guys who showed up were all fat. That leads me to believe it was a group of offensive and/or defensive lineman. She did not say.

Regardless of their position, Recco said there were only “two or three” cute guys and, once they got on the boat, the guys “started being really weird” and “telling them to chill” even though she and her friends weren’t really saying anything. However, the NFL players still invited them out to a club called Booby Trap. It was around midnight, which Recco said is early for that specific bar.

Nevertheless, she and her friend decided to accept the invitation. They went home, changed and drove over to the club. The guys completely ignored them upon arrival. except for the guy who invited them. They walked right past Recco and her friend without even making eye contact.

If that was not awkward enough, the NFL players told them that they did not have any more room at their table even though there was “nobody there.” Recco and her friend were “booted out of Booby Trap” and ran to hide in the parking lot because it was “the most embarrassing thing of her life.”

Things ended up working out. Maggie Recco and her friend ended up right back on the boat at which they started with another one of her friends. They didn’t leave the boat until 2:30 in the morning and stayed out until closer to 5:00 a.m. Vibes were much better than before. What started out as a disastrous night came full-circle.

This story coincides with a similar video from earlier this year. A woman named Isabella explained the disturbing reality of what often happens on a professional athlete’s boat in Miami. The host of the boat invited girls to gather in the living room before he sent 12 of them home because they were “chopped.” While that is not what happened to Recco and her friends, it sounds like the NFL players that invited them out on the 130-yacht and to Booby Trap shared a similar hubris.
