Coming into the year, Micah Parsons was almost universally considered one of the league’s best players. But, after dominating the first two weeks of the season, many are calling him the best player in the NFL.
Even though he only had one sack on the stat sheet, the third-year player out of Penn State absolutely dominated in week one as the Cowboys mauled the Giants, 40-0. He was completely unblockable and abused New York’s offensive line.
Against the Jets in week two, many thought he would have a good chance of having another big performance. And, he delivered in 30-10 win for Dallas.
Parsons was absolutely unstoppable, notching 4 tackles, 2 sacks, countless pressures and legitimately stole the ball out of a player’s hands for a near-touchdown. Take a look at some highlights.

Last year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year runner-up was in the backfield seemingly every play. And, plenty of people are calling him the best player in all of football.
You can make a REALLY good argument that Micah Parsons is the best player in the NFL.

Micah Parsons just wrecked Zach Wilson's timing on one play, then drew a holding call on the next play while still applying pressure on Wilson that resulted in a Jayron Kearse interception. I have never seen such a one-man wrecking crew so close in person.

Micah Parsons won’t get into the MVP conversation because.. well we know how that works, but he’s certainly in the best player in the world conversation that starts with Patrick Mahomes. Sure ain’t a ton of degrees of separation between those two names either.

I know the #Jets OL has had a rough day, but it’s hard to have any big picture takeaways IMO.
Micah Parsons might actually be the best player in football. Doesn’t matter who’s blocking him.
That said, LT and LG are still clear weaknesses.

Micah Parsons is the best player in the league.
If you think otherwise, you’re wrong.

After the game, Micah Parsons himself said that he has his eyes set on being the best player in the league.
Asked Micah Parsons about DPOY goals: "When I talk about (DPOY), I don’t look at the subject of the award…I want to be the best player in the NFL, so whatever comes with that. I don’t think just qualifying myself as just a defensive player — I think I’m a Most Valuable Player."

The Cowboys play the Cardinals next week, and there’s no reason to think Micah Parsons won’t terrorize them, too.
