Flag football has officially been given the green light for the 2028 Summer Olympics by the international Olympic Committee.

Among those thrilled about it are Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and former Patriots, Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski, who both expressing keen interest in being part of flag football’s Olympic debut.

Now Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons has thrown his hat into the ring, saying on his The Edge podcast that he’s going to assemble a powerhouse team for the event. Parsons declared, “Flag football is coming to the Olympics in 2028, who should be on the US team? I should be on the US team.”

With a hint of humor, he added, “Because I can’t do it on track and I can’t do anything else but I can play some flag football. I think I might be playing offense.”

Parsons didn’t stop with just his own inclusion; he mentioned other NFL players he believes should be part of the team, including Hill, Vikings Justin Jefferson, Bengals Ja’Marr Chase, and Cowboys CeeDee Lamb.

Micah said: “All our guys need to be on the team – Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, we should run through everybody just like we do in wrestling and everything else.”

It sounds like Parsons is aiming for the US to dominate the sports, which makes sense obviously, the US has the best players.
