Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons is one of the most gracious athletes you’ll find when it comes to his time and money.

Parsons is a fixture in the Dallas community and regularly makes appearances and donations in order to support those in the area who need it.

But athletes are people too, and sometimes fans need to be reminded of that fact.

Parsons flew into Indianapolis on Thursday to participate place in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. When he arrived at his gate, some fans were already there waiting for him in hopes of securing pictures and autographs.

This was a step too far for the typically mild-mannered pass rusher.

The fact it was 8 grown men waiting outside of my gate with mini helmets and pictures when I got off my planes is insane!! I hope yall realize sometimes how much athletes gotta hold back ! This lady is currently following me,” Parsons tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

But it didn’t stop there.

This women and these kids followed me to my luggage now! Is there any type of self respect and dignity any more,” he continued.

For everyone saying I didn’t decline !! Yall don’t think I declined and asked politely to be left alone!! There were grown men who followed me and crowd to my car! At what point is it too far in confused?!

In the end I don’t think there has been an athlete more for the fan than me! It’s just a time and place for everything rushing me after I get off a flight is not the time period!

Fans didn’t seem to agree with Parsons, criticizing him in the replies. But most fans don’t seem to understand the day-to-day life of a professional athlete.

Parsons was just asking for a moment of peace after getting off of a long flight. Can’t we all relate that?
