Rapper Cam’ron believes Larsa Pippen was the reason the Los Angeles Lakers chose to cut Scotty Pippen Jr. earlier this month.
He also thinks that Lara’s relationship with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus contributed to the Lakers’ decision to waive the undrafted point guard out of Vanderbilt.
“It’s his mother,” Cam’ron said on the Come And Talk 2 Me show. “Ain’t nothing to do with Scotty.
“They don’t need that to mess up the game. He got no time. He got waived by which team? They got no time. Jeanie Buss and them don’t got time for that nonsense.
“It only takes one call. Michael Jordan calls Magic Johnson, Magic Johnson calls Jeanie Buss, shut it down. Two calls… that’s all it takes.
“Listen, you’re costing your son a job with this public s—,” Cam’ron said, speaking to Larsa Pippen now. “Keep the s— under wraps.
“You know who’s p—— off now? Scottie’s p—— off. ‘Cause now you’re affecting my son.”
While that certainly might be a stretch, it’s not like Scotty Pippen Jr. played poorly for the South Bay Lakers in his 19 games with the team.
The 22-year-old averaged averaged 21.4 points, 5.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 steals over just 27.9 minutes per game.
Unfortunately, he only got in six games with the big club and averaged just 5.3 minutes per game with the Lakers when he got the chance to play.
The problem, as Cam’ron sees it is that Scotty Pippen’s mom Larsa, 49, has been creating a scene due to her relationship with Marcus Jordan, 32.
On top of all that, Larsa also reportedly dated Scotty’s former Lakers teammate Malik Beasley, who even now is just 26-years-old.
That relationship also made news last year when Shannon Sharpe drew a lot of attention to it when he joked on Undisputed that Scotty should have demanded a trade when Los Angeles acquired Beasley.
