It’s been a roller coaster of a time for the New Orleans Saints lately as the franchise aims to get back on top of the NFC South.

With Derek Carr under center, the organization hopes to do just that. However, there is still some lingering issues with wide receiver Michael Thomas.

It’s been several seasons since he last produced much of anything for New Orleans. Despite that, the team seems happy with his progress so far.

According to Ari Meirov, Michael Thomas made an appearance at the Saints’ OTAs on Tuesday. Head coach Dennis Allen claims that he likes what he’s seeing from the veteran receiver.

It’s important to remember that Thomas is still on the road to recovery. For that reason, he spent most of the time on Tuesday working off to the side, per Chris Rosvoglou.

Despite the optimism surrounding the Saints right now, NFL fans can’t help but be pessimistic about Michael Thomas.

The main reason being he hasn’t seen much action the last three seasons. Here’s what football fans had to say about Thomas.

Seems like most people agree with this guy.

Michael Thomas has not had the best luck when it comes to injuries.

This guy might have a point.

Meanwhile, Saints fans are hoping for the best. Even if they’re used to feeling disappointed.

For now, it’s not clear if Michael Thomas will be ready to go by Week 1. But the Saints are clearly hoping he’ll be available come training camp.

With that said, keep an eye on Thomas. If he can finally bounce back he’d become a prime candidate for the Comeback Player of the Year.
