Thirteen years after being convicted and serving prison time for his role in a dog fighting ring, Michael Vick remains an extremely controversial figure in sports.
Earlier this year, 800k people signed a petition to have Vick removed from serving as an honorary captain at the Pro Bowl due to his past history of animal abuse.

Just saw this on Facebook and was absolutely disgusted. When is the NFL going to take any responsibility for the behavior of it’s current and former players? To honor a man who had zero regard for animals is unacceptable and I would like your help to make sure he is NOT honored at the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl.
On Monday, Vick started trending on social media because some people were furious he was working the Steelers-Washington halftime show as an analyst.
Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think Michael Vick should have a job commentating on the NFL unless a large percentage of his salary goes to animal welfare groups.

FOX, keep Michael Vick off your network and my screen. I’d rather turn my television into a fire pit than listen to that vile POS talk anything other than constant community service, no charge and no PR.

If you follow me and you think it’s ok that a heartless animal murderer like Michael Vick deserves a broadcasting job then you don’t give a damn about animals and I would like you to unfollow me immediately. pic.twitter.com/9YIhUdSkqQ

Just wondering what Michael Vick ever did to deserve a TV gig on Fox Football? I can think of > 500 more deserving ex-players, sports journalists, or league executives. SMDH.

I see Michael Vick trending, curl up my nose, scrunch my face, and really worried about opening this trend and hearing gross stuff about dog fighting.
Vick and grotesque inhumanity will always be associated together. Btw, my face is still scrunched in disgust.

Who’s dumb idea was it to put Michael “I Kill Dogs For Fun” Vick on FOX NFL? He can’t speak clearly and he should be working in a garbage dump!

What Michael Vick did was sick. He did his time, and has emerged as an animal rights activist. What do y'all need from him to accept his reformation?
We have a rescue dog that mauled two of our other dogs. Everyone said "euthanize," but now he is a cherished member of our family.— 5thBurner Account (@5thburner) December 8, 2020
Not impressed with @NFLonFOX having Michael Vick as a commentator for the game tonight. pic.twitter.com/Z3dnsAX6VP

Despite actually having paid his debt to society for his actions and being a model citizen for over a decade it doesn’t seem like some people will ever forgive Michael Vick.
