Radio and TV host Michelle Beadle used to be a huge wrestling fan, especially of WWE.

She was such a big fan, in fact, that she was even part of the 2013 WWE Tribute to the Troops broadcast.

One of her closest friends in the wrestling business back in the day was the man making all the headlines this week: CM Punk.

Unfortunately, she ended up her severing her ties to WWE and boycotting the company for several years due to Triple H’s friendship with boxer Floyd Mayweather.

In 2015, she wrote, “I did the research. I learned of the accusations. The convictions. The abuse committed in front of his own children. And the way the judicial system made a mockery of those women, putting the Las Vegas Money Tree ahead of doing the right thing. I immediately apologized and vowed I’d never support that man and his lifestyle.”

She since returned and made up with Triple H, but her friendship with CM Punk is still no more.

That is thanks to CM Punk’s wife AJ Mendez, known as AJ Lee in WWE, who put the kibosh on their long friendship.

“It was at one of their events,” Beadle explained to co-host Peter Rosenberg on their show. “Triple H was taking me around. As I’m walking through I’m like ‘Hey, f— face,’ which is my term of endearment for anyone that I love and think is a friend.

“Well, his then girlfriend and now-wife took offense to it. Came up to me, got in my face, I thought she was kidding, I laughed. Turned out she wasn’t kidding, turned it into a thing. Everybody made it a big deal. Triple H was mad at them. And so then we stopped being friends.”

Beadle isn’t joking. She was caught so off guard by the incident that she truly didn’t believe any of it was real when it happened.

In 2013, she tweeted, “I honestly thought it was a joke. Period. The event went on and it was amazing. So I hope we can move on from this ridiculously lame ‘story.'”

The next day, Beadle wrote a follow-up tweet after finding out the beef was legit.

“Lost another friend to CGFN….crazy girlfriend neutering. It’s real people. Check your buddies. Affects everyone,” she wrote.

Apparently, more than 10 years later, the issues have still not been resolved.
