The Michigan Wolverines are still celebrating their successes on the football field. The program finds itself in the midst of a historic run, notching back-to-back playoff appearances in each of the last two seasons.

The Wolverines have also landed huge wins over rival Ohio State after previously dropping eight straight. Those two victories equal the number of wins over the Buckeyes in the 17 meetings prior.

In the most recent matchup, JJ McCarty outdueled Heisman trophy candidate CJ Stroud, throwing for three scores and 263 yards. Running back Donovan Edwards was superb in his replacement of an injured Blake Corum, rushing for over 200 yards.

To commemorate their latest rivalry triumph, the athletic department unveiled custom made necklaces with the score of the game.

They posted the new gear on social media, along with a caption that read, “To the victors go the spoils.” College football fans immediately clowned the jewelry.

Check out the reaction below.

Many jabbed at the design, while others trolled the program for celebrating a regular season win.

One fan wrote, “This might be the lamest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Another person said, “These look like they cost 37 cents.”

The Wolverines were taking a beating online.

These fans thought the necklaces looked like something you’d see in a vending machine.

The Michigan football team beat the Buckeyes 45-23 in late November, but they’re taking a massive L with the unveiling of these hideous necklaces.
