An unnamed NFL player, as well as another unnamed man, is reportedly suing United Airlines after claiming to have been sexually harassed and assaulted by a female passenger during a flight in February.
The initial report claims that both men are African American males, while the woman was described as a middle-aged Caucasian female. The unnamed NFL player and the other male are seeking both compensatory and punitive damages.
The two men alleged that the female, who they were sharing a row with, made ‘unwanted sexual advances’ before the flight attendants forced her to move seats.
The unnamed player reportedly said that the female was intoxicated and taking prescription pills. The woman apparently ripped off his face mask and grabbed his penis before she was finally moved from her seat.
The alleged incident is far from a laughing matter, but apparently there’s humor somewhere in the story according to Mike Francesa.
As the news broke on Wednesday, Francesa reacted to the news on his radio show ‘Mike’s On’ and mocked the unnamed NFL player and even let out a few laughs about the situation.
“We’re supposed to take this seriously?” Francesa said. “When I read this story, I didn’t think it was real.”
“This is an NFL player. He plays in the National Football League,” Francesa added, laughing. “He plays the most violent game that you can possibly play and he cannot protect himself against the advances of a female passenger on a United flight?”
“What guy couldn’t protect himself from the advances of a female passenger?” Francesa posed. “Forget whether or not you’d want to protect yourself against the female, but that’s a different story. The point is, who couldn’t? And you’re telling me this NFL player couldn’t?”

This isn’t the first time, nor will it likely be the last time, that Francesa ruffles some (serious) feathers with his reaction and take on things.
