With seemingly every passing day, the news gets worse for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel after the entire world found out about his alleged affair with reporter Dianna Russini.

After a recently released video showed Vrabel and Russini taking a private boat trip with one another while she was pregnant, there are now questions as to whether Vrabel may well have fathered at least one of Russini’s two children.

However, Vrabel does have some defenders. There aren’t many of them, but they do exist.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, is former teammate Asante Samuel. Samuel and Vrabel played together on the Patriots from 2003-2007.

Vrabel is a faithful man. Whatever happened in the past is the past; as of today, he is a faithful man. Move on,” Samuel posted on his X account.

Now, it’s not surprising to see Samuel back up a former teammate with whom he still remains friends with. What is surprising, however, is what Samuel posted afterward.

Asante Samuel Admits To Also Cheating on Wife While Defending Mike Vrabel

For one, I’m not sure that Vrabel suddenly saying he’s a “faithful man” actually does make him a faithful man, given, y’know, the alleged infidelity with seemingly piles of evidence.

But it doesn’t help his case that one of his most ardent supporters is also a cheater!

“When I had a wife and side chick. The side piece got in her feelings, called the wife, told her everything 😩,” Samuel posted. “Got that call at work, we need to talk. Scary!!!!!! Me: She lying baby…”

What’s that saying about the company you keep? Perhaps Vrabel might want to find better sources to come to his defense in the future.
