Mike Zimmer’s Model Girlfriend Calls Out Vikings GM: ‘Your Gossip Needs To Stop’

This past November it was finally confirmed that 65-year-old Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was dating Maxim model Katarina Miketin, who is about 25 years younger than him.

The couple have kept a rather low profile ever since Miketin was spotted posting a photo on Instagram of herself sporting some Vikings gear at a NFL game August of 2018.

Shortly after that, internet sleuths went to work and several times over the next two years more breadcrumbs were left by the couple including photos of them out to dinner together.

Sadly, for Zimmer, and Miketin, he was fired by Minnesota on January 10, 2022 after a disappointing 8-9 season.

In his eight years as head coach of the Vikings, Zimmer went a very respectable 72-56-1, winning the NFC North twice, but only making as far as the NFC Championship Game once – a 38-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Last week, on the Move The Sticks podcast, Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman blamed Mike Zimmer for making it difficult to succeed because “it was like a moving target” to put together a roster because of so many changes in the Zimmer’s coaching staff.

Well, Katarina Miketin caught wind of what Rick Spielman was saying and wasn’t having any of it.

“Rick, How can you build a team when you refuse to talk to the coach and don’t show up?” she tweeted. “You talk a lot to everyone else, just not the ones who mattered when the organization needed unity. YOU caused separation. Your gossip needs to stop. Let’s talk facts.”

Fast forward a few days and Spielman was talking to Colin Cowherd and once again he was talking about the Vikings head coach position.

And once again, Katarina Miketin called out Spielman on Twitter.

Interestingly, Miketin isn’t the first one to make these accusations against Spielman.

None other than Deion Sanders said he spoke with Zimmer after he was fired and said to The Pro Football Show, “[Zimmer] and the GM hadn’t spoken in months. It was just a downward spiral.”

Whatever the case may be, there’s little doubt that Miketin has got Zimmer’s back.
