I’m just going to go ahead and leave this video of a 5-year-old little-leaguer getting surprised by his military dad after a tee ball game for you and let it soak in, because this is just awesome.
The kid’s name is Lucas, and, while waiting to be rewarded the game ball, he was met on the pitcher’s mound by his dad—who had been deployed with the Army since last year. As you might imagine, the kid had a tough time holding back his excitement.
We’ve seen a good amount of these things surprises at sporting events over the years, but they never get old or less heart-warming, so go ahead and grab a tissue if you need to after this one, I think everyone around you will understand.
