ESPN’s Mina Kimes Put Fox Sports’ Emmanuel Acho In A Body Bag After Justin Herbert Outplayed Tua Tagovailoa

ESPN’s Mina Kimes is one of the rising stars in the football media world. So, consequently, is former NFL defensive end Emmanuel Acho.

Acho is a host of Fox Sports’ daily morning show, Speak For Yourself. While Kimes is one of the hosts of ESPN’s NFL Live. Both are known for their (often differing) insight and radiating charisma.

But on Sunday night, Kimes got the better of Acho in a moment that may have well set his career back years.

It all began weeks back when Acho claimed that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was better than Los Angeles Chargers signal-caller Justin Herbert.

Acho claimed that Herbert was a “social media quarterback” whose highlights don’t translate to winning. While Kimes wasn’t as sold.

Acho responded to her question in (slightly condescending) video form.

Which sparked a back-and-forth between the two.

The discourse led to a clear point of delineation. You were either Team Tua or Team Herbert, with no in-between. And when the NFL flexed Sunday’s game between the Dolphins and Chargers into prime time, it became a perfect opportunity to settle the dispute.

Both Kimes and Acho exchanged barbs on Twitter throughout the game.

But ultimately it was Kimes who got the last laugh.

Mina Kimes Absolutely Buries Emmanuel Acho After Chargers Beat Dolphins

Herbert was fantastic in a 23-17 Chargers victory. The Oregon product went 39-of-51 for 367 yards and a touchdown. Tagovailoa, meanwhile, struggled. He went just 10-of-28 for 145 yards and a score.

And once the final whistle blew, Kimes wasted no writing Acho’s eulogy.

Absolutely cold-blooded.

In the end, the reality is that both quarterbacks look like future stars. But on this night, Herbert is the one who clearly looked the better of the two. And in the world of social media, everyone knows all that matters is what you’ve done recently.

Acho is going to have to hold the L on this one.
