Monmouth University is a small school of 6,500 near the Jersey Shore, but on Thursday their celebration game was epic. Monmouth upset #17 Notre Dame with an impressive 70-68 victory in Florida at the AdvoCare Invitational. This outstanding victory was the Hawks’ first ever win over a ranked team in school’s history, which dates all the way back to 1933. As noteworthy as that is, the best part about the upset win was Monmouth’s bench.
The above video features a Hawks’ player pretending he’s Hawkeye.
Then there’s the bench going absolutely nuts with a guy dying and one player’s eyeballs nearly popping out of his head.

The incredible Thanksgiving Day win was topped off with a sweet and hearty postgame celebration in the locker room, with all the delicious and imaginary fixins.
That’s a big bowl of victory and it tastes SWEET #Monmouth #monmouthbenchmob pic.twitter.com/wUvy2lU4zF
