The NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” initiative went so well in 2016 the league is doing it again this week and, wow, with one round now under their belts, the players have SERIOUSLY upped their game this year. Not only does it seem like pretty much EVERY player will be wearing some custom cleats for a cause, from what we’ve seen so far the designs are more incredible than ever.

Heck, this year even some of the coaches like Ron Rivera, Bill Belichick (yes, Bill Belichick), and Pete Carroll will be getting in on the custom kicks for a cause action.

Dare I say, Belichick are Carroll’s shoes are actually… gulp… dope?

As The MMQB reported back in August…

Nearly 500 players supported myriad causes during the “My Cleats, My Cause” campaign last year, from battling diseases and illnesses to supporting clean water and local Boys and Girls Clubs. A league source indicated that no fewer than 1,300 players have expressed interest in the campaign this season.

From the number of custom cleats I have seen posted on social media, I can totally believe that more than 1,300 players are participating in the initiative this season.

Here is a VERY SMALL sampling of some of the custom cleats you’ll be seeing players rocking in week 13. (Be sure to swipe on some of these posts as they contain multiple pics and cleats.)

#MYCAUSEMYCLEATS I’m bringing awareness to Epilepsy! Coach Kill who is now at Rutgers coaching, who to me was more then a head coach from the time he walk in the building till the time i left! Many great memories i shared with this man! My top two were when one our brothers/teammates passed away from a natural cause, coach managed to gather up the funds and a plane to make sure every gopher was able to make it to Jacksonville for the funeral to pay our respects with his family and friends. Secondly was when he allowed me to skip meetings at the team hotel night before badgers game to go to the birth of my twins on 11/11/11. Thanks coach you are the strongest coach/ person I’ve been around from, having to get checked into the hospital one day then being at practice the next while still feeling horrible and not letting it be shown! Continue to leave your mark and making a difference in your players lives! Love ya my guy! Big s/o to @solesbysir for bringing the vision to life and helping me raise awareness! #epilepsyawareness #epilepsy
