Jake Paul and Nate Diaz are set to face off in a boxing match on August 5. So the two are taking the time right now to train and hype up the fight.
On Tuesday night, Paul and Diaz participated in a press conference. There was some trash talk. And they each set parameters for the upcoming bout as well.
It was a rather normal press conference for a boxing match. That is until Nate Diaz upped and left midway through, leaving Jake Paul completely stunned. Especially once Paul learned why Diaz left midway through.
Our very own BroBible team was in attendance at the event and caught the incident.
Apparently, Nate Diaz needed to use the bathroom, so he got up and left while Jake Paul was busy answering a question.
Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go.
The commentary between Paul and Ariel Helwani is kind of hilarious. It’s one of those awkward moments that you might see in an old episode of The Office or something.
But it wasn’t all bad, as Nate Diaz eventually came back to take photos with Jake Paul. They faced off against each other on the stage for the cameras once Diaz returned from the bathroom.
This fight should actually garner plenty of interest from fight fans. Diaz is one of the most well-known UFC fighters in the world, as his in-cage antics have made him a fan favorite.
Meanwhile, Paul continues to be at the center of controversy for his trash-talking ways.
We’re still a ways away from this bout. However, both Diaz and Paul should be providing plenty of entertainment.
Look for the trash talk to ramp up as the months go on. Maybe next time Nate Diaz will use the bathroom before the press conference.
