We knew this would happen.

Relying on the Detroit Lions to secure a victory is like trusting Dan Campbell not to blow up your bathroom after his ninth cup of bean juice.

A BetMGM bettor tossed down a $25 wager and successfully selected the outright winners of the first 15 games of Week 2, a monumental feat that ultimately meant absolutely nothing no thanks to the Lions blowing a halftime lead, the Packers scoring 21 unanswered points, and shattering this man’s soul in the process.

There is chatter on the internet calling this anonymous man a fool for not cashing out at a reduced payout before the Lions inevitably blew it (Detroit was a double-digit underdog coming into this game and was +400 at BetMGM on the moneyline), but the $25 was reportedly a “free” BetMGM bet, therefore disallowing early withdrawals.

I guess it’s better to have bet and lost than to never have bet at all. Eh, just kidding.

I think we need to create a GoFundMe for this dude. Therapy is expensive nowadays.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
