The Atlanta Hawks are currently down 1-3 to the Boston Celtics in the round one series.

Things might be getting a tad out of hand for Atlanta though, as it appeared Dejounte Murray sort of bumped into a ref and said something at the end of Game 4.

Now, reports indicate the NBA is investigating the situation.

SportsCenter shared “creatorjordan’s” clip of the altercation in question between Dejounte Murray and a referee. Here’s what happened right at the end of Game 4.

It’s unclear what Murray said to the ref. However, the video clearly shows the Hawks’ guard slightly bumping into the referee and saying something.

Now, according to ESPN, the NBA is officially looking into what happened late Sunday night.

“The NBA is investigating Hawks guard Dejounte Murray’s actions toward officials at the end of Atlanta’s 129-121 home loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference first-round series.”

ESPN also claims that Murray also “turned back and pointed and yelled at someone before exiting the court.”

Overall, this is a terrible look for Dejounte Murray, as it’s never a good thing to get into an altercation like this with a referee. Or with anyone for that matter.

Emotions are high right now, as we’re in the middle of the NBA Playoffs. But that doesn’t give anyone an excuse to bump into a referee like that.

The league has yet to announce its findings just yet. There is some speculation that the NBA may opt to suspend Murray for Game 5. However, nothing is set in stone until league officials make an official announcement.

With that said, more information should be released on Monday, as Game 5 takes place on Tuesday night. Keep a lookout for more information.
