NC State students have grown frustrated with QB play this season. They’ve gotten creative in their latest criticisms, posting missing person flyers around campus.

The response comes following the Wolfpack’s 13-10 loss to Louisville, its lowest offensive output of the season.

In that contest, signal caller Brennan Armstrong mustered just 112 yards through the air while throwing a pair of interceptions. The lefty completed just 52% of his passes though he did lead the team with 61 rushing yards.

Still, the struggles in the passing game have caused many Wolfpack fans to suggest a change.

Through five games, Armstrong is averaging less than 200 yards per game while throwing more picks (6) than touchdowns (5). Fans around Raleigh are wondering what’s happened to the backup options.

If you’re walking around campus this week, you might find a few “missing person” flyers posted on various street signs or bulletin boards.

Fans are in search of MJ Morris, who played five games for the Wolfpack last season but has yet to see the field in 2023.

In those five contests, the Morris threw for seven scores and just one interception, helping lead the team to wins over Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

He was moved to the backup role after Brennan Armstrong transferred from Virginia this offseason, but NC State supporters are hoping he gets another look at QB.

Armstrong came to Raleigh with great expectation after throwing for more than 9,000 yards as a Cavalier. Unfortunately, the consistency hasn’t been there with the Wolfpack.

NC State fans seem to want a change under center. We’ll see if Morris gets a chance next week against Marshall.

Update: NC State fans get their wish, MJ Morris to start at QB

Head coach Dave Doeren says MJ Morris will get the start at quarterback against Marshall. We’ll see if he provides a spark for the offense.
