NDSU Beats Opponent By 94 Points In One Of The Most Lopsided College Basketball Games You’ll Ever See

The lack of parity in college basketball means it’s not that rare to see some pretty one-sided games. With that said, you’d be hard-pressed to witness a bigger blowout than the one the NDSU Bison treated us to at the expense of Oak Hills Christian.

The North Dakota State Bison are best known for the football team that’s a perennial national championship contender at the FCS level, but their basketball team (a Division I program that’s a member of The Summit League) has also punched its ticket to March Madness on a few occasions over the past decade under head coach David Richman.

Earlier this season, NDSU suffered a 29-point defeat at the hands of Creighton, which was probably the most difficult opponent on its schedule this year. The team is currently sitting at 7-4, and on Sunday, it was able to add another tally to the win column with one of the most decisive victories you’ll ever see.

There are around 15,000 students enrolled at NDSU, which means they have a slightly larger pool of athletes to pick from compared to Oak Hills Christian, a learning institution located in Bemidji, Minnesota with a student population of 100 (yes, you read that correctly).

Now, I can’t tell you why Oak Hills Christian feels the need to have a basketball team in the first place; when they headed up to Fargo on Sunday, they were 2-8 on the season and had lost four games by at least 60 points.

Well, that number rose to five when everything was said and done, as the Bison cruised to a win during a game where the score was 60-5 at halftime and they ultimately won 108-14.

That 94-point difference was enough to top the 92-point blowout Oak Hills Christian was subjected to when it faced off against Valley City State University at the end of November, and at this point, I have to give the team credit for agreeing to step on a basketball court in the first place.
