Every and bar and restaurant in Oklahoma City placed an order for even more Busch Light as soon as Nebraska punched its ticket to the Women’s College World Series. They wanted to be prepared.

Sure enough, the Cornhuskers delivered.

OKC saw what happened during March Madness and knew it had to load up on cheap domestics. Nebraska fans need to be properly lubricated for the college softball championships!

Nebraska fans take over.

There may not be another school in the United States with a fanbase that is more willing to travel to support its sports teams than the University of Nebraska. That is true for every sport, not just football.

Wherever the Huskers go, the entire state seems to follow. Especially when that specific program has not had very much success in recent years (or ever). The men’s basketball team won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game in 2026. It ultimately advanced to the Sweet 16.

The first and second round games of the NCAA Tournament were played in Oklahoma City. The entire city was completely overwhelmed by a sea of red during the first weekend of postseason competition.

Just listen to this crowd pop:

I would go as far to say that the University of Nebraska has the most dedicated fanbase in the country. An six-hour drive is nothing to the people of the midwest. Especially when all you have to do is take 81 to 135 to 35. It’s all highway!

Oklahoma City stocked up on Busch Light.

Nebraska returned to Oklahoma City for the second time this spring for the Women’s College World Series. Its college softball program kicked things off in the night session on Thursday.

Huskers fans broke an attendance record.

The crowd split was strongly in favor of Big Red.

They were everywhere.

The drive was not an issue.

The tailgate started early.

It was a family affair!

Oklahoma City learned its lesson back in March. Local bars and restaurants got an opportunity to prepare for the Nebraska takeover the second time around. They loaded up on one thing: Busch Light!

The Cornhuskers won their first game of the Women’s College World Series so their fans will be in town at least until Sunday. That’s a lot of beers!
