Netflix has renewed the Shane Gillis-starring sitcom ‘Tires’ for a fourth season
Netflix is staying in the Shane Gillis business. And the streaming giant sounds thrilled about it.
Earlier this week, Netflix announced that the Shane Gillis-starring comedy series Tires has been renewed for a fourth season, shortly after Season 3 premiered and delivered the show’s highest-ever Top 10 ranking.
Netflix Vice President of U.S. Comedy Tracey Pakosta was effusive in her praise of Gillis and his co-creators John McKeever and Steve Gerben in the renewal announcement.

“Tirescontinues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic point of view Shane, John and Steve’s fans know and love, and Season 3 hitting its highest-ever Top 10 ranking proves this fandom just keeps growing,” Pakosta said. “We love working with this team and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Valley Forge crew in Season 4.”
The show, which centers on a tire shop in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, is co-written by Gillis, McKeever, and Gerben, with all three also starring in the series. Gillis plays Shane Lucero, the nephew of the tire shop’s owner who returns to run the family business.
Later this year, Gillis will be making his acting debut in a project outside of the sitcom genre when he stars in the David O. Russell film Madden alongside Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale.
Earlier this year, Gillis broke two Guinness World Records at his stand-up show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on July 17, as he had the largest audience for a comedian with 73,946 attendees, and the most tickets sold for a solo comedy show at 77,047 tickets.
