Dana White will be featured in upcoming Netflix documentary.
The documentary will be directed by Gotham Chopra, who also directed Netflix’s Conor McGregor documentary. The doc will feature the UFC’s White House card and White’s current work with Zuffa Boxing.
Apparently the doc was conceived when Netflix was trying to secure UFC’s media rights that eventually went to Paramount in a massive $7 billion deal.
Directed by Gotham Chopra, the project was originally conceived as a documentary about Las Vegas, but evolved into a story about the 57-year-old promoter who convinced Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta to purchase the UFC in 2001 for $2 million only to sell the company 15 years later to a group led by Endeavor for $4 billion.
The doc was greenlight by former Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria, who was recently fired by the company.
