In a criminal complaint affidavit filed Monday, an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force stated that York responded to an undercover ad that was posted to a “known prostitution website.” The agent stated York “arranged to have sexual activity with the female in exchange for $140.”

The California Post reports that York contacted the ad multiple times before his arrest. and used an alias to disguise his real name.

“York messaged the female and advised that his name was Joe and that he would like to visit the female,” detectives wrote in the document. Later that same day, York allegedly reached out again. He “advised that he was just checking in, and was seeing if the female was available,” the report stated.

When both messages went unanswered by the undercover agent involved in the sting, York again reached out at 9:11 a.m. Sunday, according to the document. He “asked if the female was free, and that he would love to come see her,” the report stated. He “was advised that full service sexual activity was $160.00, with unprotected sex being $20 more,” officials wrote in the report. “York advised that the $160,00 worked for him, and he was on his way.”

York has already pleaded no contest to criminal charges after his arrest.

Both the NFL and 49ers issued statements regarding York’s arrest.

“We are aware of the matter, which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy,” an NFL spokesperson said in a statement to the media.

“As this is a legal matter, which has been resolved, we will not be providing any further comment at this time,” the 49ers said via their own statement.
