The New England Patriots have made additions to their roster ahead of training camp, signing wide receiver Jalen Hurd and former linebacker Diego Fagot.

Jalen Hurd, a 6-foot-5 wideout, was selected by the San Francisco 49ers as the 67th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, his promising career has been plagued by injuries.

Hurd missed his entire rookie season due to a back injury and suffered a torn ACL during training camp in 2020, sidelining him for another year. In 2021, a knee injury led to his release from the 49ers in November.

Hoping to overcome these setbacks, the 27-year-old Hurd is eager to start anew with the Patriots. If he can stay healthy, he will bring both size and impressive yards-after-catch ability to an already competitive receiving unit in New England.

In addition to Hurd, the Patriots have also added ex-Navy linebacker Diego Fagot to their roster. Fagot, who signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2022, brings significant experience from his time at Navy.

During his three years as a starter for the Midshipmen, Fagot recorded an impressive 282 tackles in 47 games, earning him the honor of senior captain in 2021.
