It’s absolutely insane that the four divisional round NFL playoffs games were decided by a combined 15 points. The first three games ended with road teams winning while kicking field goals as time expired then the Bills-Chiefs saw that and said ‘hold my beer’ and switched to Extra Strength Four Loko Original Recipe.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen did everything he possibly could to get his team to the AFC Championship. Josh Allen threw for 329 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and he also ran for a team-high 68 yards on 11 attempts. Buffalo’s Singletary was second best with only 26 yards on the ground! Allen truly did it all.
I didn’t have a horse in that race but I’d say I was rooting more for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to win than the Kansas City Chiefs. From where I’m sitting, the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals are the two most exciting (young) teams in the NFL right now…. which is part of what makes this video so heartbreaking.
A new video has surfaced showing Josh Allen embracing wide receiver Gabriel Davis and prematurely celebrating saying they were going to the AFC Championship. They didn’t, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs drove down the field and tied the game by kicking a field goal with just 3 seconds left on the clock and then won the game after winning the coin flip in overtime. The 103rd season of the National Football League will begin on September 8th. That leaves 225 days between now and the start of the next season. That’s A LOT of time for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to get fired up and the Defense to figure out how to make some stops.
