When the Atlanta Falcons decided to trade Matt Ryan it likely left quite a few Falcons fans feeling disappointed as they lost the only starting quarterback they had known since 2008. It turns out that one of their division rivals is just as disappointed to see Ryan go.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has also never known another Falcons starting QB and has gotten to know Matt Ryan quite well over the course of his career. Since his rookie year in 2011, Jordan has sacked Ryan 23 times.

Yesterday, during an event for The Advocate, the Saints star had a hilarious reaction to no longer being able to sack Matt Ryan.

Like so many scorned side pieces before him, this will likely be the year that Jordan realizes the person he deserved was right in front of him all along. In this case, that person is a bad Atlanta Falcons offensive line. That’s a man that doesn’t look ready to leave Jordan and the Saints looking for somebody new any time soon.

The Falcons O-line gave allowed the league’s 14th most sacks last season and the organization has done very little to address its issues. Ryan’s replacement, Marcus Mariota, also isn’t exactly a waster of avoiding sacks. He appeared in 21 games during his last 2 seasons with the Tennessee Titans and was sacked 67 times.

As long as the Falcons don’t abandon the Saints and the rest of the NFC South, Cam Jordan’s numbers are going to be just fine.
