There is no team in sports more fun to laugh at than the New York Yankees. Let’s face it, their fans are the worst. They think it’s their birthright to win championships, and if you’ve ever been to Yankee Stadium, you know that they are arguably the most obnoxious fans in American sports.

Because of all that, it’s especially funny when they’re playing poorly. Yankee Twitter meltdowns are unparalleled. And, we have another one on our hands.

The New York Yankees have been without Aaron Judge since early June due to a freak toe injury, and they’ve been an under .500 ball club since. In fact, outside the month of may, they’ve been an under .500 ball club all year. An embarrassing 14-1 loss to the Orioles Thursday dropped the team into a tie for the final Wild Card spot with the Toronto Blue Jays. Thankfully for them, they had a chance to right the ship on Friday against the mediocre Chicago Cubs and former Yankee Jameson Tallion, who has been arguably the worst pitcher in the National League.

Yeah, about that. Tallion threw 8 innings of scoreless, one-hit ball, the Cubs won 3-0, and New York Yankees fans are having a time on Twitter. The loss also moved them out of the playoffs if the season ended today.

Let’s take a look at the best meltdown tweets from Yankee fans. The offense, General Manager Brian Cashman, Owner Hal Steinbrenner, and Manager Aaron Boone are all targets.

To add insult to injury, it was the first time in history that the Chicago Cubs have ever won at Yankee Stadium, new or old. Yes, the first time EVER. The loss drops the New York Yankees to 48-41. Game two of the three-game series, the final set before the All Star Break, is Saturday.
