For some reason, the mighty New York Yankees identify with the group of ragtag players who starred in The Sandlot. Perhaps because losing a Babe Ruth autographed ball is an actual concern for the franchise. God knows they only have thousands more in reserve.
That bit of irony notwithstanding, their remake of the important lost-ball scene was posted to the internet.
