Earlier today, football fans were hit with a disappointing report.

It was reported that the NFL’s schedule reveal could be delayed as they hadn’t made decisions on all of the special games for the 2023 season.

This was an unfortunate development for football fans who are trying to plan travel for games during the season (and for fans who are trying to plan a bachelor party for Week 2 and would really like to go to Kansas City for a Chiefs game).

Those earlier reports said that the league’s schedulers would be meeting with Roger Goodell today to try and figure things out and it seems that meeting went well as the NFL has released their plans for the schedule unveiling.

According to the NFL’s announcement, there will be a 3-hour Schedule Release show on NFL Network this Thursday, May 11th, at 8pm ET.

To make the news even better, football fans won’t even have to wait that long to learn some pieces of the schedule for next season.

The schedule will begin to be rolled out on Wednesday with the international games being announced on NFL Network and ESPN and Amazon announcing their Black Friday games.

There will also be select games announced on Wednesday on Fox & Friends and CBS Mornings.

Thursday morning will also see some early announcements as there will be select games revealed on Good Morning American and the Today Show. Then by the end of the night we’ll have a clear picture of the full schedule.

We are still 4 months away from the start of the NFL season, but they only have to wait a couple of more days before they’ll be able to start looking forward to their teams’ biggest matchups.
