I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Now that we’re officially in the holiday season, it’s time to win some money so you can buy presents for family members that probably just bought you a bargain bin t-shirt and put it in the gift bag you gave them last year.
All of the games featured have teams that are contending for playoff spots and one has two quarterbacks that could be facing each other in important playoff games in years to come. Here are the best games to wager on in Week 12.
Record this season: 22-19-1
New York Giants (-5.5) vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Giants have continued to improve every week, they enter this game as a road favorite and are 5-0 against the spread as road underdogs this season. The Bengals are sitting at the bottom of the AFC North and now won’t have their number one overall pick Joe Burrow. It’s going to be tough for Brandon Allen, who had a 34.5 QB rating in three games for Denver last year, to produce against a Giants defense playing much better recently.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills (Over 52.5)
The Chargers are unfortunately not winning many games, but fans are still amazed by the progression of Justin Herbert. The Bills lost a heartbreaker against Arizona before the bye, but they’re still sitting atop the AFC East. Los Angeles is coming into this game having gone over the total in six straight, while Buffalo has the highest over percentage this season. Both of these teams can put up points and both of the defenses have not been good at stopping them, this game could see two up and coming star quarterbacks put up some good numbers.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams (Under 44.5)
The 49ers dominated the last matchup a few weeks ago, but since then these teams have gone in two different directions. The Rams defense has been a force and the team has gone 3-1 since the last game, while injuries and the virus have left San Francisco in a mess have gone 1-3. This game always seems to trends towards the under with just 30 total points in the last game, I expect the Rams to score enough points while shutting down the 49ers offense.
Carolina Panthers (+3.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings
Although both of these teams are under .500, they play much better than their record would indicate. Last week the Panthers, even without Teddy Bridgewater, were able to shut out the Detroit Lions, and it looks like they will have him back for this game. The Vikings were upset by a bad Cowboys team last week, Carolina can definitely keep this game close.
