We still have a few weeks before the NFL Draft officially kicks off. For that reason, rumors about prospects are at an all-time high.

Especially when it comes to this year’s quarterback class.

Questions arise with each of the top prospects this year. With that in mind, it sounds like some teams might actually have Hendon Hooker higher on their board than expected.

According to NFL Rookie Watch, “Multiple teams reportedly have Hendon Hooker ‘over’ Will Levis and Anthony Richardson on their Draft boards.”

He’s been incredibly active with visits throughout the offseason. Additionally, Hooker played well at the college level until a serious injury halted his final season.

Regardless, his experience makes him an intriguing option for NFL teams. One could argue that he’s more pro-ready than both Richardson and Levis.

Hooker finished his collegiate career after playing five seasons (three with Virginia Tech, and two with Tennessee). He finished with a solid career statline of 8,974 passing yards, 80 touchdowns through the air, and only 12 interceptions.

His 66.9% career completion percentage is a nice cherry on top of his statline that NFL teams likely enjoy seeing.

Considering how much buzz has floated around these quarterback prospects, especially Anthony Richardson, it would still be a bit of a surprise to see Hendon Hooker go before him.

These of course are just rumors for now, as there is no way of knowing who will be drafted where until the NFL Draft finally starts.

With that said, things could get interesting once the draft finally begins on April 27. Many thought Hooker might be a Day 2 pick, but rumors continue to spread that he could be a first-round selection.
