The 2020 NFL Draft will reportedly take place “virtually, from home, away from team facilities” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This year’s draft, which was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, will begin on Thursday, April 23 and will conclude on Saturday, April 25.

“High-level officials from multiple NFL teams are now preparing to do the April 23-25 draft virtually, from home, away from their team facilities, league sources tell ESPN. Awaiting final decision from NFL on an unprecedented draft.” [via Adam Schefter]

Roger Goodell and the NFL were previously receiving backlash for their decisions regarding the draft, as Schefter himself ripped the league and their apparent “lack of foresight” in a viral ESPN clip earlier this week.

As long as it can be done so safely, the NFL Draft will provide a much-needed distraction for sports fans across the country as we now enter our fourth week of quarantined living. The NFL Draft won’t be the only “sports” event happening that week, as ESPN is releasing their Michael Jordan documentary series The Last Dance on Sunday, April 19.
