The NFL’s List Of The Top 10 Highest Endorsement Earning Athletes Includes 9 Quarterbacks And J.J. Watt

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the list of the ’10 highest endorsement earning athletes in the NFL’ is dominated by quarterbacks, as QB’s are often the faces of NFL teams. It is a bit surprising though that 9 of the top 10 highest earning athlete endorsers in the NFL are quarterbacks, with the lone exception being the Texans’ J.J. Watt. I’d expect at least one other non-play caller to sneak in there, a running back or a wide receiver perhaps, but somehow Andy Dalton’s made the list at #10 and edged out the rest of the competition.

How is Drew Brees making more than Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers?!?! Every single time I flip through the channels I come across and Eli and/or RODGERS commercial. I cannot tell you the last time I saw a TV commercial involving Drew Brees, or if I did it wasn’t memorable enough to stick with me. Furthermore, you gotta love that J.J. Watt’s not just making the list of the top 10 but he’s actually up there earning a sh*t ton, bringing in a half-a-million more than Tom Brady this year in endorsements.

One rankings that we can’t leave out is of course the ‘most sold jerseys’, which is the only rankings that Tim Tebow ever finds his name on:

These numbers come from the website Opendorse, which tracks athlete’s endorsement earnings worldwide. For more on why QB’s are the highest earners and where all of this money is coming from then click that link above and head on over to Opendorse!
