Urban Meyer has been the talk of the football world over the last five days. From the initial video leak, to the lies, to the second video leak, to the apologies, it has been all Urban, all of the time.
However, the headlines appeared to distract us from the biggest scandal going on right now. Nobody is talking about it.
Did somebody fart during a live segment on NFL Network?
NFL Now airs from 1:00 p.m. EST to 3:00 p.m. EST every day. Among the frequent faces on the show is network reporter Mike Garafolo.
He joined the panel to discuss the entire Meyer situation on Wednesday and #fartgate was born. 42 seconds into Garafolo’s segment, a flatulent noise sounded from somewhere.
It is unclear where it came from, but Garafolo was clearly caught off guard. He paused mid-sentence for a moment and then continued forward while trying to stifle a laugh.

Now, Garafolo was already jovial throughout the segment — as he usually is — so the two might not correlate. But with that being said, the math certainly seems to add up in regard to someone cutting wind into a live mic.
Was it Garafolo? Was it one of the NFL Now hosts? Could it have been a camera man or a producer? Might it have been a production assistant?
Forget Meyer, this is the scandal we need to cover. Fartgate 2021 is in full effect.
