Here we are with the Week 16 edition of Friday fades, where we look at three players who we are going to avoid playing this week.

QB Drew Brees NO $6900
Drew Brees is an entirely different animal at home in the dome versus away outside. Priced as the third highest salary on the slate, only $100 less than Russell Wilson, I’ll fade Brees after his big Monday night. The general public is probably going to be excited about Brees after watching his incredible performance against the Colts. This gives us an opportunity to gain leverage on the field, grabbing Wilson and hoping he outscores Brees here.

RB Christian McCaffrey CAR $10100
It’s never easy fading the best player in fantasy football, but this feels like the week to do it. Going against a slow paced Colts team, and having Will Grier start his first career game, this feels like the week to fade C-Mac. He’s just so much more expensive than anyone else on the slate, and the current matchup doesn’t lend itself to a great opportunity to hit a ceiling game. I’ll fade him…and close my eyes and hope he doesn’t go nuts.

WR AJ Brown TEN $7000
AJ Brown’s price just 5 weeks ago was just $4300, now he’s the 4th highest priced WR on a main slate. Life comes at you fast! Unfortunately for AJ, I don’t think this is the week he keeps up the good run. He’s undoubtedly going to see a lot of the Saints Marcus Lattimore, which is going to hurt his big play ability. I’m way more interested in Davante Parker and Amari Cooper for a few dollars less this week.

Good luck and see you at the top of the leaderboards!
