NFL Quarterback Tiers Ranking Revealed By 50 General Managers, Coaches, Executives

The much-anticipated annual results of the 2023 NFL Quarterback Tiers have been released by TheAthletic’s Mike Sando, with input from 50 NFL coaches and executives.

The insiders, comprising eight general managers, 10 head coaches, 15 coordinators, 10 executives, four quarterbacks coaches, and three individuals involved in coaching/analytics, ranked 30 veteran quarterbacks into distinct tiers based on their evaluations.

Tier 1:
1) Chiefs Patrick Mahomes
2) Bengals Joe Burrow
3) Bills Josh Allen
4) Jets Aaron Rodgers
5) Chargers Justin Herbert

Tier 2:
6) Eagles Jalen Hurts
7) Ravens Lamar Jackson
8) Jaguars Trevor Lawrence

Tier 3:

Notably, there were no quarterbacks placed in Tier 5 this year, indicating a higher overall standard of performance among the veterans.

It’s worth mentioning that rookies were excluded from the survey as they have not yet played in the NFL.

These rankings provide valuable insights into how the league insiders perceive the current state of quarterback talent in the NFL, and it will be interesting to see how these quarterbacks perform in the upcoming season.
