During last night’s game between the Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators (Bruins won 3-2) left wing James Neal channeled his inner soccer player and got booked for ’embellishment’ like he’s Christiano Ronaldo or something. The referee was having none of James Neal’s tomfoolery and can be heard chewing him the fuck out, screaming profanities from across the ice. Usually language like this on the ice doesn’t get picked up by the TV microphones, but in this case we got to hear the Predators’ James Neal chewed out in all its glory:
If you missed the ‘penalty’ that caused James Neal to go down that’s because there was none at all. It was a clear embellishment as you can see here in GIF:
The Predators aren’t exactly what you’d consider a ‘dog shit’ NHL team this year, so I’m a little baffled as to why James Neal felt the need to cost his team a few minutes short handed all so he could act like a little beotch.
I’ll admit that I don’t watch the Predators enough to know the reputation of James Neal, I’m a Lightning fan and couldn’t really give two shits as to what’s happening in Nashville outside of the Country Music scene. I’m guessing though that this wasn’t James Neal’s first time getting booked for this, as not a single person on the ice looked surprised by the call.
