It is a day that ends in “Y,” which means that Nick Chubb is doing ridiculous things in the weight room. The Browns running back stopped by his former high school on Monday and put up a ridiculous squat that puts his old, already insane record to shame.

Chubb, a second round pick in 2018, enters his fifth year in the NFL this fall. He is going to be an even bigger problem for would-be tacklers this fall than ever before, which says a lot.

The Georgia-native has been running people over since high school.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 227 pounds, Chubb has always been bigger than just about everybody else his age. Here he was running track in high school:

Once he got to college, Chubb was a force to be reckoned with. He suffered a grotesque knee injury in 2015 but came back stronger than ever.

And then he took it to the gridiron and never stopped churning his legs while at Georgia.

That is still the case today.

In May of 2020, Chubb casually cleaned 415 pounds.

And then he followed it up with a 600-pound squat.

But that was nothing compared to Nick Chubb’s insane 675-pound squat on Monday.

While back in the weight room at Cedartown high school in his home state of Georgia, Chubb proceeded to squat the equivalent of three Nick Chubbs. Although it definitely took an extra gear to get it up, he did not appear to be struggling all that much, especially considering that the bar could barely hold the weight.

To put Chubb’s insane squat in perspective, he basically lifted two full-grown panda bears on either side of the bar. In other terms, he squatted the equivalent of four full-sized beer kegs in total. It was more than a standard vending machine.

Chubb has always been a problem for opposing defenses. This year will be no exception. Goodness gracious.
