Nick Chubb Carted Off Field After Gruesome Hit To Knee

Fans fear the worst after seeing a gruesome knee injury to Cleveland running back Nick Chubb. The star rusher was tackled hard down near the goal line on Monday night.

Chubb had one defender hit low while another was wrapped around his shoulders. He was carted off the field and will not return to action.

The hit came in the first quarter of play with the Browns looking to take an early lead. Trailing 7-3, Chubb took a handoff and ran up the middle. After getting to the second level of the defense, he was met by a pair of Pittsburgh tacklers.

Watching the replay, you can see the moment the tailback’s knee buckled. A direct hit on Chubb’s knee.

After remaining on the ground for some time, he was escorted off the field on a cart. The NFL world fears the worst, and is sending prayers for a speedy recovery.

Slow motion replays look even worse as many hope the injury won’t cost Chubb his career.

Over his first five NFL seasons, Chubb developed into one of the league’s most productive backs, running for more than 6,300 yards He notched a 100-yard game in his season opener against the Bengals.

Hopefully he can make a full recovery and return to the football field.
